Great food for what looks like a seafood shack! Laid back and casual but food is amazing!

We always have a great meal at 12A Buoy. Last night we enjoyed fresh Alaskan snow crab legs that came directly out of the shelf for us as an appetizer. We followed this with a Florida lobster - Tis the season! We had it pulled off the shell and sautéed and chunks with garlic butter, and it was prepared perfectly. Our server was prompt and checked on us frequently. We didn't leave any room for dessert, but I'm a fan of their peanut butter pie as well! With an extensive menu there is something for everyone. It's a casual environment with cute T-shirts for sale too. While they let everyone know upfront, I will reiterate it is a very small kitchen and it may take a while for food to come out. You can always ask your server for your coleslaw in advance- it is the best on the treasure coast!

I never write reviews... We met some old friends from West Palm Beach at a half-way point restaurant, 12A Bouy. 1st time for all of us. SPECTACULAR! The food was amazing and our server(s) were "on it" all night long. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Then came desert and the key lime pies was ridiculously delicious Price was reasonable for our table for 4 with drinks and appetizers. We dont do National chain restaurants Places like 12A Bouy is why. A very relaxed , casual vibe with a stellar menu, with something for everyone. +5 Stars !

Not one thing negative. Great service and great food. Conch fritter appetizer was some of the best I've ever had. Crab stuffed shrimp was delicious. My husband had the fried shrimp dinner - a huge portion - and said it was great. The coup de Gras was the apple pie Ala mode. The apple pie was 2 inches thick, flakey and with crumbles. Yum, yum! I very highly recommend

I thought I had reviewd this place before. Busy spot just before the bridge, with a wait for a table. We waited about 40 minutes, however had a beverage from the bar so we were all good. We dined outside and found that they have kind resident cats that come around looking to see if you are will to share. They do not both you though, they just sit off to the side or lay around. It was nice to see them so happy, which I am sure they are well fed here and receive plenty of petting. The baked potato was good. I ordered a fish special. It was okay. A little dry. However everyone else that did not order the special really enjoyed their food. I would go back and try something different when I am in the area. It was not a deal breaker at all. The server was efficient and did great with a large group. They have a bar inside and seating inside if you prefer to dine inside. Great ambience. Relaxed vibe. You can tell a lot of locals come here. Enjoy!!

We had a great lunch here and already hope to return to try more of their menu. It was a bit hard to find at first as the pin on Yelp had been dropped in the wrong location and we had an "interesting" drive through a warehouse/water side business district. But we followed where all the cars where and found it. We've sent yelp a correction. From the restaurant you have a nice view of the river/intracoastal and of the bridge. There was ample parking outside -- next to a plethora of boat trailers. Service was welcoming and friendly. And they were very busy during lunch hour. It's small inside and every table was taken a few minutes after we arrived. There's also an outside patio with seating. We were surprised that it too was pretty well occupied considering the heat index was near 100 degrees. But we did see some blowing fans outside, as well. My husband had one of their lunch specials (there's a list for the day). It was a shrimp salad in a toasted roll. For his side, he chose rice and beans. The rice was yellow rice. He said the sandwich was very good. I started with a cup of their "Miami vice". This is a mix of their conch chowder and clam chowder. It was a good combo with the spice of the conch chowder mitigated by the clam chowder. And the clam chowder livened up with a bit of spice from the conch. There were nice chunks of conch in the conch chowder, as well. Then I had their fried oyster appetizer. These were good, but I think I'd get something else in the future -- like the lobster mac n cheese which everyone else has raved about. The guy at the booth behind us had the tripletail fish and their crabcakes and raved about both to the server.... This place is a keeper -- and popular -- so plan on coming late or early to beat the crowds.

First words from server ... we have a teeny tiny kitchen ... average wait time for food is 45 minutes ... yawza! That comment leads to up-selling as you immediately get an appetizer! ‍ This joint was hopping! Just to sit a 1st available table, we waited 20 minutes! Everything fresh and homemade! Was quite tasty and reflects their 4.5/5 star Yelp rating. Definitely a bit of a challenge to locate ... tucked away right against the water in the least desirable part of Ft Pierce ... ‍... not a DDD but definitely meets their criteria! Oysters from MA & CT. Crab from MD. Snapper & Mahi off the boat twice a day!

I tried this place strictly based on the reviews. So glad I did! I would consider it off the beaten path but I don't know the area so who knows. It's on the water. Not fancy. There is outdoor seating but when I went they automatically sat me inside. No one was outside so maybe they only use it during busy times. I didn't bother asking....so I would suggest speaking up if you definitely want outside. I tried the Miami vice soup - thanks to the reviews and photos! It did not disappoint. It's 1/2 conch chowder and 1/2 clam chowder. I tried both sides individually then mixed some together. The conch had a nice smokey flavor. Tons of conch. The clam had nice pieces of clam and potato. Mixing them together was out of this world. The bowl was very filling. I also tried the fried oysters. They were good. I thought the breading was light. Decent portion for the price. Friendly service. I would definitely go back when in the area.
